History Of Guns N ‘Roses
Guns N ‘Roses became the biggest rock band in the world in 1991-1992 when their double album “Use Your Illusion” exploded on the market.
At midnight 17 September 1991 GNR become the greatest band in the world. Hundreds of stores opened until morning to sell the album Use Your Illusion consisting of two albums. For the first time in history, two albums were ranked first and second versions of Billboard’s best-selling album in the U.S..
But the greatness and success of GNR at that time does not necessarily make them more solid personnel. What happened was when Izzy Stradlin surprisingly resigned from GNR in the middle of a world tour concert album, Use Your Illusions (Use Your Illusion World Tour). Izzy was replaced by Gilby Clarke at mid-concert world tour. It can be seen also in the video clip “Do not Cry”, the clip was tucked a picture when one of his fans put an inscription on its back “Where’s Izzy ???”. Or other event just before a concert in Tokyo, there are also posters that read “Who’s Gilby??” Proving that the GNR fans really miss the figure of Izzy.
GNR fate changed in 1994. they fuss with one another, often enter a rehabilitation center for drug addiction, and the album The Spaghetti Incident? Failed in the market. Their rift begins from here.
After that they had gathered in a studio in Los Angeles to record a new album which is planned to be released in 1995. however, soon they were seized with a disease that is common in other bands: boredom. They are too rich that they think do not need to do anything.
Rose himself as the leader of the project making the album, but he certainly can not lead. Incidentally Geffen Records also pamper parties GNR. Thanks to the album sales that bring huge profits, they provide exceptional flexibility to GNR to write and record. At that GNR had released the single Sympathy for the Devil which is the soundtrack of a film (Interview With the Vampire).
Is 2000′s era, worst in the history of rock music?
60′s and 70′s was the era of dewa2 rock music (the beatles, the rolling stones, led zeppelin, black sabbath, queen, Ramones, etc.). 80′s was the era of gods children born (u2, metallica, guns n roses, REM, sonic youth, etc). 90′s era alternative nation (Nirvana, Pearl hours, oasis, Radiohead, Rage against the machine, red hot chili peppers, nine inch nails, etc.). 2000′s? linkin park? sucks!, my chemical romance? no!, muse? eww! how do you think? (Indeed there are the white stripes, the strokes, system of a down, coldplay, arctic monkeys, but they receive less attention, was defeated by the music of hip hop and r & b is less artsy!)
In 1996, Slash left GNR, followed by Matt Sorum (drums) and Duff McKagan (Bass). for planning an album that does not go finished the GNR personnel escape. From the original GNR personnel (The Original Guns), Rose lived alone.
